After completion of the MSc programme in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining (MSc MEITIM, a double degree programme), the graduate specialising in Process and Mining Engineering and Entrepreneurship will be able to:

• enhance the creativity and innovation capacity of engineers
• provide in-depth knowledge of technologies (by practical training) that are entering the primary sector of the raw materials value chain (geology, mining, mineral processing, and metallurgy)
• have an ability to understand the technical, business, social and economic aspects, as well as broader understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship in the raw materials sector
• stimulate technological innovation and technologies integration with the vision of creating new opportunities and added value
• improve the mindset of entrepreneurship.

This double degree programme is called “Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining”.

The coordinating institution of this double degree is Politechnical University of Madrid, Spain.
Students are admitted through open admission. Students start studies at Entry University (1^st year) and continue to Exit University (2^nd year). Entry and Exit Universities are:

Facts

• This is a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.), Diplomi-insinööri (DI) degree amounting to 120 ECTS cr, which is arranged as a double degree programme.
• A higher university degree gives eligibility to apply for scientific doctoral studies.
• Duration two years, full-time studies of 60 ECTS cr per academic year.

Degree Structure

The students of the Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining specialise in Process and Mining Engineering and Entrepreneurship.

The Master's degree (120 ECTS cr) consists of

• advanced specialisation studies including a Master's thesis and a seminar
• credit transfer of a min. of 60 ECTS cr from EXIT university (Polytechnical University of Madrid, Spain)
• there are no minor studies or free elective studies.
