Learning outcomes:
The Master's programme in Sociotechnical Systems and Sustainability Transitions specialises in the systems that are critical to society and the sustainable use of natural resources (in particular energy, food and water). The programme examines governance, management and cooperation between different actors (public sector, enterprises and voluntary sector) in the context of sustainable transition. The programme includes solution-oriented approaches and it focuses on decision-making at global, national and local levels. Students who have completed their M.Soc.Sc. degree in Sociotechnical Systems and Sustainability Transitions are able to:
apply theories based on sociotechnical systems approach to building more sustainable transition governance and policy
recognise the most significant environmental, social and economic impacts of transition processes
assess the complex interlinkages between the local and global sociotechnical systems
apply innovative and problem-solve thinking in the context of sociotechnical systems
