Learning outcomes:

Graduate is able to:
- Collect data: gather data from variety of sources, acquire relevant data to complete picture of an area of interest, evaluate the quality of data, data/information is a most valuable asset
- Data analyse: clean, transform, model and analyse data, understand the meaning of the data and utilize the data to business use, execute different kind of analyses, draw conclusions and reasoned recommendations to the decision-making situation,
- Data visualization: report results of analyzes by using data visualization tools, visualize results accessible way to see and understand trends, outliers and patterns in data, utilize information to manage and develop business
- Decision-making: communicate and transfer information for decision-makers, interpret new and vast sources of information to make data-driven decisions; specify, produce and acquire relevant information for decision-making
- analyze development needs and plan development programs, projects and activities
- evaluate technical applications from the business point of view
- apply new scientific knowledge and develop skills further


Content:
  • The degree is called Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.), Diplomi-insinööri (DI) in Finnish
  • A higher university degree, giving the student eligibility to apply for scientific doctoral studies
  • A total of 120 ECTS credits
  • Duration two years, full-time studies of 60 ECTS credits per academic year.
