Osaamistavoitteet:

After completion of the MSc programme in Chemical Engineering, the graduate specialising in Chemical and Process Engineering
- has solid theoretical background in core areas of chemical engineering
- has strong engineering analysis and problem solving skills
- has trained engineering practice skills such as making approximations and decisions under uncertainty
- has the courage to create innovations and new technical solutions
- possesses project working and communication skills needed in the modern working environment.

Facts

  • This is a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.), Diplomi-insinööri (DI) degree amounting to 120 ECTS
  • A higher university degree gives eligibility to apply for scientific doctoral studies
  • Duration two years, full-time studies of 60 ECTS per academic year.

The Master's degree (120 ECTS) consists of core studies, specialisation studies, minor studies and elective studies. The specialisation studies include a Master's Thesis and a seminar, and the Thesis must be written in English in the programmes taught in English.

The extent of the minor studies is a min. of 20 ECTS cr. However, if the total of the specialisation studies exceeds 80 cr., no minor studies are required.
