Learning outcomes:

Depending on her/his choice of specialisation, a student completing the double degree programme in Electrical Engineering, is able to

• explain the basic operating principles of electricity markets and is able to apply these knowledge and skills to operational activities in the electricity market
• identify the influence of technical and electricity market development in the electric energy system
• analyze and design power electronics systems
• analyze and design electrical motors and drives
• analyze and design control algorithms for electrical systems
• implement control an signal processing algorithms by embedded programming
• manage simulation software for system dynamics and electromagnetic fields.

• This is a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.), (Diplomi-insinööri in Finnish) degree
• Higher university degree gives eligibility to apply for scientific doctoral studies
• Extent 120 ECTS credits.

The Master's degree (120 ECTS) consists of specialisation studies and credit transfer. A Master's Thesis and Seminar is included in the specialisation studies, and the Thesis must be written in English in the programmes taught in English.
