After completion of the MSc programme in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining (MSc MEITIM), the graduate specialising in Process and Mining Engineering and Entrepreneurship will be able to:

• enhance the creativity and innovation capacity of engineers
• provide in-depth knowledge of technologies (by practical training) that are entering the primary sector of the raw materials value chain (geology, mining, mineral processing, and metallurgy)
• have an ability to understand the technical, business, social and economic aspects, as well as broader understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship in the raw materials sector
• stimulate technological innovation and technologies integration with the vision of creating new opportunities and added value
• improve the mindset of entrepreneurship.

This degree programme is called “Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining”.

The program is aiming in developing both engineering and entrepreneurial skills. A combination of such skills allows to lead changes and become a decision maker with solid engineering background.

MEITIM program has EIT label, meaning that the program focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and leadership and are based on the integration of business, education and research, the so-called 'knowledge triangle'.

Exchange period is recommended to take place in on the following universities:

Facts

This is a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech.), Diplomi-insinööri (DI) degree amounting to 120 ECTS cr.

A higher university degree gives eligibility to apply for scientific doctoral studies.

Duration two years, full-time studies of 60 ECTS cr per academic year.

Degree Structure

The students of the Master’s Programme in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Integration in Mining specialise in Process and Mining Engineering and Entrepreneurship.

The Master's degree (120 ECTS cr) consists of advanced specialisation studies including a Master's thesis and a seminar. There are no minor studies.

Possible credit transfer from exchange university
